FIFA 18, the sports simulator developed by Electronic Arts, is already the best-selling videogame of the year, an impressive achievement, considering that it took two weeks to get this first place (and only with the PS4 version). At the moment, the figures of world sales of video games in 2017 are as follows.
FIFA 18 (PS4)
Zelda Breath of the Wild (Nintendo Switch)
Horizon Breath of the Wild (PS4)
Mario Kart 8 DX (Nintendo Switch)
Sun / Moon Pokémon (3DS)
Crash Bandicoot NSane Trilogy (PS4)
Splatoon 2 (Nintendo Switch)
Ghost Recon Wildlands (PS4)
GTA V (PS4)
Resident Evil 7 (PS4)
As for the Xbox One games, the best seller returns to be FIFA 18, ranked number 17 on this list (which we obtained from the portal Vgchartz). The sales figures of the first five games, so far this year are:
FIFA 18 5,695,378 units
Zelda Breath of the Wild 3,941,762 units
Horizon Zero Dawn 3,638,097 units
Mario Kart 8 DX 3,338,876 units
Pokémon Sun and Moon 2,598,970 units
Presumably, the arrival of Super Mario Odyssey for Nintendo Switch, Call of Duty WWII, Assassin’s Creed Origins or Star Wars Battlefront II will change the top positions in this list.
How long do you think FIFA 18 is in this pretigious place? Do you think there will be games that take away their place soon? In our opinion, it always happens. It is difficult and impossible for a game to stay that long in the first place, especially when there are so many video game releases every month. Do not forget that Dragon Ball Fighterz is approaching January 26 next year, a game that we follow very, very closely all the gamers.
